Sales Engineer - Optics

Optotune & NextLens is a strongly growing and internationally active optics company based in Dietikon, Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial (Optotune) and consumer markets (NextLens).

Taiwan is one of NextLens's most important and highest growing markets. You will be based in Taiwan and focus on the Asian markets. With your support, NextLens can be closer to customers and provide high-class local support. Your goal is to grow NextLens's business by scaling up our core markets and finding new applications for our consumer business.

Tasks

• Develop new customers and applications for our liquid lenses from first contact to mass production
• Provide technical support to camera module and mobile phone customers
• Ensure smooth information flow between Taiwan and the Swiss headquarter
• Understand customer roadmap and competing solutions
• Support CCM and VCM manufacturers to integrate liquid lens products into their solutions
• Participate in trade shows and conferences

Requirements

• Above bachelor’s degree holder in engineering with focus in optics and/or mechanics
• Working experience in lens company, VCM or other supplier to CCM preferred
• At least 5 years experiences in engineering, application engineer and sales in the consumer electronics industry: preferably consumer camera modules design, lens simulation, optical system design or project management
• Mobile phone lens design capability with Code V or Zemax is a great asset
• Fluent in English & Chinese
