We offer an exciting challenge for individuals seeking experience in Credit Control within the Outdoor Sports industry. This is a highly diversified role within a passionate and dynamic team, providing excellent opportunities to develop your skills and expertise.

Specifically, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the credit and collections process, ensuring timely payment of invoices, and maintaining the company’s cash flow. This role involves collaborating with various departments to provide insights and recommendations that enhance credit policies and procedures.

Tasks

Credit Management:

  • Assess the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers.
  • Set credit limits and payment terms in accordance with company policies.
  • Continuously monitor credit exposures and risk levels.

Collections:

  • Proactively manage and collect outstanding invoices.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure timely payments.
  • Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes promptly and professionally.

Account Reconciliation:

  • Perform regular reconciliation of customer accounts.
  • Ensure all payments are accurately recorded and allocated.
  • Prepare and distribute account statements to customers.

Reporting:

  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, collections performance, and credit risk.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on credit control data.
  • Prepare the cash forecast process and cash forecast reporting.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement improvements to the credit control process.
  • Develop and maintain credit control policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to enhance systems and workflows.

Customer Relations:

  • Maintain strong relationships with customers while enforcing payment terms.
  • Work closely with the sales team to address credit-related issues and support customer satisfaction.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in all credit control interactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in English, French and Spanish is mandatory; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of credit management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in the sporting goods or outdoor industry is a plus.
