Role overview:

Join Leitwert as a Software Architect and play a key role in designing our cutting-edge IoMT platform. You will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and efficient solutions that meet the needs of healthcare providers and researchers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and contribute to the digital health transformation.

Your Goal

• Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and user satisfaction of our web platform
• Work with a distributed team to build scalable and modular web applications
• Enable the development team to produce and maintain high quality software documentation

Your Responsibilities

• Design, extend and maintain the architecture of Leitwert’s web applications
• Continuously innovate and enhance our technology stack
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team
• Optimize the platform for performance, scalability, and security
• Plan and de-risk work packages in collaboration with with the development team and product management
• Collaborate with the team to produce well-documented software specifications

You have a constructive, proactive and open personality and look forward to working in an agile start-up environment. You work independently, adapt easily to new challenges, and convince with your hands-on working attitude. Furthermore, You strongly identify with our vision to improve healthcare and clinical research with data from wearable devices.

We expect that you have demonstrated your skills in the following areas:

• Design of modular web application platforms (at least 5 years of experience)
• Willing to learn new technologies and skills

You are a practitioner of the following principles:

• Model-based software architecture
• DevOps life cycle
• TDD
• Clean code
• Containerization
• Infrastructure-as-code

Experience with the following topics is highly advantageous:

• Software as a medical device, healthcare or medtech industry experience (IEC 62304)
• Proficiency in cyber security (IEC 27001)
• Work with a geographically distributed development team
• Design of data platforms for IoT
