Join our venture as Machine Learning Engineer and impact how companies make data-driven decisions. In this role, you'll work directly with our CTO to model Kausa’s core: the algorithm. Get the chance to shape a young technology startup from its earliest days on through your efforts, experience, and industry expertise.
Our company is being built at Merantix, a Venture Studio focussing on artificial intelligence. This means that we are part of a very active AI community and have a rich ecosystem to support us on our path into the future.
Tasks
As Machine Learning Engineer your main responsibilities are the following:
- Engineer state-of-the-art models such as recommender systems, unsupervised classification, or Bayesian networks for causal inference.
- Collaborate closely with our Chief Technology Officer to develop algorithms and robust statistical models that power our advanced analytics platform;
- Take responsibility for data and model versioning, manage the experiments and deploy models to production;
- Give input to the marketing team to create awesome technical content;
- As we value ownership and collaboration, you support and mentor your colleagues and review the team’s technical design, code, and documentation.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Maths, Physics, or Machine Learning, ideally expertise in the field of causal inference
- 2+ years industry experience
- 1+ year numerical programming experience in C++, Rust, Java, Scala, or Python
- machine learning experience in theory and implementation of state-of-the-art algorithms
