IT Operations Specialist

JustWatch is looking for a IT Operations Specialist to join us on our mission to become the streaming guide. We’re looking for a person who cares deeply about ensuring that anyone in the office has access to the technology they need. You strive to create solutions that avoid creating administrative burden yet keep your organization game on top.

About your job

Your day to day tasks will involve commissioning and decommissioning computers for new employees as well as computers that have become outdated. You’ll also work on bigger projects, such as building and maintaining a “default hardware choices” - a list of current laptops that we can provision to employees rapidly and bring a bit of structure into our hardware procurement.

The job takes place in our office, located in Berlin close to Alexanderplatz. You will also support our office in Munich through contracted IT support services - travel is not necessary.

Here's what you'll do

• Take over hardware provisioning and deprovisioning for on/offboarding
• Start and maintain an inventory of employee hardware as well as office hardware
• Work on the concept of hardware lifecycle as well as hardware selection for various roles at JustWatch
• Identify people with access to sensitive information or elevated access privileges and create a concept of better security and compliance practices
• Coordinate works that affect network connectivity & availability with contractors as well as office management
• Maintain a good level of technical office supplies such as cables and adapters
• Keep the office networking in check - WiFi as well as wired connectivity
• Assist the infrastructure team with Google Workspace (Suite) administration as well as access controls to additional internal services (i.e. GitLab)

What you will need

• Great deal of empathy and willingness to communicate with people at all levels
• Ability to clean install and troubleshoot various operating systems, mainly MacOS and Windows, experience with Linux as a bonus
• Basics of network management (MikroTik, Ubiquiti)
• Experience with other network vendors is perfectly sufficient
• English and German languages at working proficiency (written and spoken)
