JustWatch has grown from a small start-up with a lean setup into a company of 100 people with different revenue streams and international subsidiaries in the US, UK and France.

To support the accounting and finance team, we are looking for a driven Financial Accountant.

This is an exciting opportunity as the whole area of accounting and finance is still largely undeveloped so you have the chance to drive projects and shape the function.

You will have the opportunity to dive into many different areas, shape the role according to your interest and have a real impact.

You will have the chance to work closely with the CFO and get in-depth insights into all areas of the company and be part of a great growth story.

Here’s what you will be doing

• Manage ongoing accounting activities and coordinate accounting in our subsidiaries with local partners and work on the consolidation
• Participate in the preparation of month-end closings and annual financial statements
• Manage AR / AP and prepare payment cycles
• Track and analyze gross profit margins that help to steer the business
• Business planning and providing analyses on plan vs. actual deviation
• Support management to optimize decision-making through data-driven analyses
• Participate / Lead projects within digitalization and automation of finance systems and processes

What you will need:

• 3+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role
• Good understanding of German GAAP and IFRS
• Structured and detail-oriented work style while still being pragmatic
• Driven personality with high work ethics and quality standards
• Hands-on mentality and independent decision-making
• Digital mindset and interest in technology
• Ideally, advanced user knowledge of Datev and Microsoft Excel
• Fluent in English and German at Upper-Intermediate level with great communication skills overall
