Are you an experienced Buyer who has worked with offshore factories before?
Do you have experience in developing new products?
Have an interest in fitness?
If so we are keen to chat with you.
At JTX Fitness, we’re on a mission to empower our customers to achieve their fitness goals from the comfort of their own homes. As one of the UK’s leading providers of high-quality home fitness machines, we pride ourselves on our service proposition, product quality and customer-centric approach. We are entering an exciting period of product evolution, so join us in shaping the future of home fitness.
This is a brand-new position, created to help accelerate our growth and relieve pressure on the senior management team.
In this role, you will be driving the development of our product range and managing the relationships with suppliers.
Reporting to the Head of Digital Growth and Product, you'll play a crucial part in the development of the product portfolio roadmap and 3-year strategy to deliver JTX's ambitious growth plans.
You’ll be working closely with the Head of Technical to ensure that our machines are the best they can be and meet the required technical standards.
You’ll take over the day-to-day management of the relationships with the existing offshore suppliers and also be responsible for identifying new suppliers and building relationships with them to negotiate the best possible deals.
You’ll be undertaking a wide variety of analysis to support the key decisions that need to be made - competitor, price, margin, sales, reviews, customer satisfaction etc. Your analysis will help the leadership team to make the right decisions with input from you.
You’ll help to develop our product roadmap and be responsible for managing new products through our established development process from initial samples to final product.
First and foremost you must already have experience working as a Buyer with offshore factories to produce consumer goods (ideally including electrical and mechanical components).
You’ll need strong analysis skills and a naturally data-driven approach.
You’ll need to demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships and negotiate the best deals.
It's crucial that you have helped to develop new products, we’ll want to hear about those products and how your contribution helped them to be successful.
You’ll need an understanding of the product development lifecycle and be keen to take on more responsibility for developing products rather than just buying them.
An interest in keeping fit and fitness equipment would be highly beneficial in this role.
We offer flexible, hybrid working but you will need to visit our HQ in Shoreham-By-Sea regularly.
This is a unique opportunity for a Buyer to have more influence over product development.
You'll have an exerpienced team of experts to support you.
We are a family owned small business where you'll be able to see the impact of your work.
