At how.fm, we are a small – and experienced – team of long-time colleagues and friends. We want to give everyone a fair chance to learn no matter their background. To achieve this we are on a mission to train 1 million deskless workers across the world in their own language. And that is just the beginning!

We have a modern office in Cologne, though we often work remotely and encourage all our team to work where it suits them. As you would be a central person taking care of important matters on-site, it would be important that you don't live too far away from Cologne, even if we don't commute daily.

YOUR EVERYDAY ACTIVITIES

Your mission is to be a role model for our flexible and modern corporate culture while keeping essential administrative processes working smoothly to ensure the success of the company.

This includes:

• being a central point of contact for existing and new colleagues, your role spans across functions, working most closely with People Operations.
• general office management including: monitoring email inboxes, filing documents, managing mail, reordering office supplies and daily items, and answering phone inquiries.
• coordinating and scheduling team events (online and in-person) together with our Ministry of Fun and Social Affairs (M.O.F.A.S.A).
• supporting our People Operations team with essential day-to-day HR and business activities.
• collaborating with external as well as internal stakeholders so that we always have an accurate view of our finances.

YOU

• are a career office manager/team or admin assistant, or have relevant transferrable skills and are a fast learner!
• are enthusiastic, positive, self-motivated and happy to be the central part of a team.
• are resourceful and solution-oriented. If you don't know something yet, you'll figure it out!
• are comfortable with new technology and have solid technical skills and confidence with email, online documents, spreadsheets and calendars.
• have an eye for detail and think ahead.
• are a native German speaker with excellent written and spoken English skills.
• have proven intercultural competency, including strong communication skills across multiple disciplines, cultures and with a variety of media.
• have a sense of tact, confidentiality, and discretion, these are essential for this role.
