Senior Software Engineer Python/C++ (80-100%)
greenteg offers high-tech thermal sensing solutions for an international customer base. Our unique core body temperature measurement solution (CALERA®) for wearables enables customers to make a wide range of innovative applications such as improving sports performance, continuous and non-invasive patient monitoring, sleep analysis or early detection of diseases.
We develop, manufacture, and market all our heat flux sensing solutions at our headquarters in Zürich-Rümlang.
Tasks
To maintain and improve our product portfolio, we are looking for a motivated all-rounder with solid knowledge in Python and C and a flair for interdisciplinary collaboration. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the product roadmap.
As part of the R&D team, you will
Design, develop, and maintain:
- Product Software
- Internal Software tools
- Familiarize yourself with the existing code base and adapt it for future use.
- Take ownership and lead new software development projects,
- Contribute your knowledge to other projects within the company and support our R&D team with strategic software decisions.
Requirements
You have a background in electrical engineering, computer science, physics or related fields and you are looking for a company where you can make a difference and take responsibility.
You are a versatile and fast-thinking programmer and an expert in C programming and in Python. You have proven experience in writing clean, documented, and maintainable code. You have been part of a larger software development project before. You are used to GitLab for version control and you master practices of CI/CD and software life cycle management.
You like both diving into existing codebases as well as creating new software projects.
You have basic knowledge of network/web protocols (TCP/IP, HTTPS, OAuth, REST, graphQL), Docker containerization & deployment.
Familiarity with Firebase and Google Cloud Platform, SQL and API design is a plus, as well as basic knowledge of medical software development and documentation practices.
You have native or equivalent proficiency in English.
You have a valid work permit for Switzerland.
