Your Responsibilities

As a member of the Accounting and Tax Team, you will be involved in a wide range of accounting processes relating to FRIDAY Insurance S.A. and its two branches (in France and Germany). You can expect challenging tasks in a changing environment, as well as a friendly and committed team that strives to revolutionize the insurance industry.

  • You will be involved in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in accordance with Lux GAAP and IFRS.
  • You will be involved in the preparation of the quarterly and annual reporting to the Regulator (CAA).
  • You will perform/ review accurate bookings relating to the daily activities but also insurance business related transactions, in accordance with the regulation.
  • You will perform regular accounts maintenance, reconciliation, and document adequately.
  • You will be involved in the preparation of tax declarations such as VAT and insurance tax.
  • You will be a team player in our goal to automate and streamline processes, identifying and understanding how to improve the day-to-day work.
  • You will play a key role in the Accounting Team projects and /or some other transversal Company’s projects.

Your ideal background and skillset

  • University degree or completed training in accounting, finance, or a comparable qualification.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of professional experience in financial accounting.
  • You have the relevant knowledge with regards to consolidation processes, Lux GAAP and IFRS.
  • You have the relevant knowledge with regards to the insurance regulation in Luxembourg.
  • You take initiatives and have a strong motivation for working in a challenging environment.
  • You are a Team Player, you’re rigorous and you communicate easily and well with your colleagues.
  • You are familiar with accounting / financial reporting IT systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • You are fluent in English. Proficiency in French is a significant advantage, and knowledge of German is a plus.
