The IT Purchasing Manager is responsible for acquiring all IT-related equipment, software licenses, and subscriptions necessary for the organization's operations. This role involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Vendor Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors to ensure reliable supply chains.
- Conduct vendor performance reviews and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Procurement Process:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for IT equipment, licenses, and subscriptions.
- Process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage the entire procurement cycle from requisition to delivery.
- Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage the IT procurement budget.
- Monitor and report on expenditure to ensure it aligns with the budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
- Contract Management:
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, including terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Renew or terminate contracts as necessary.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment, software licenses, and subscriptions.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure records are up-to-date.
- Manage asset lifecycle, including disposal of obsolete equipment.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT, finance, and other departments to understand their needs and ensure procurement aligns with organizational goals.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
- Market Analysis:
- Stay updated on market trends, new products, and pricing.
- Conduct market research to find the best products and services at the best prices.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive records and documentation for all transactions.
WHAT YOU BRING IN:
- Proven experience in IT procurement or a similar role.
- Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Analytical skills to assess and compare product offerings.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Attention to detail.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
