Country Manager - France (f/m/x)

dentolo Deutschland GmbH is seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Manager - France (f/m/x) to drive the launch of our pet insurance vertical in France.

As the Country Manager - France (f/m/x), you will be responsible for managing all operations within the French market, ensuring the successful launch of the pet vertical while developing and leading the local team. You will be a crucial intermediary between central services, external stakeholders, and the local market, driving profitability and strategic initiatives. We are looking for a strong connector and leader with deep experience in the insurance industry, who is passionate about driving innovation and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the successful launch of dentolo's pet insurance vertical in France.
• Oversee and manage operations in the French market, including profitability, revenue, cash flow, and quality targets.
• Develop and lead a local team with operational roles in sales, customer service, and claims management.
• Conduct constant market analysis and adapt business strategies to meet market and customer needs.
• Act as an intermediary between central core services and local business needs, ensuring alignment.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including Zurich Germany & Group.
• Act as the spokesperson for the French market within and outside the company.

Requirements

• Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in business or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience, ideally in fast-paced environments (e.g., startups, consulting).
• Strong experience in the insurance industry (Insurtech, consulting, or similar projects).
• Proven track record in leading teams and managing multi-stakeholder projects.
• In-depth knowledge of French business practices and culture, ideally with expertise in the French insurance market.
• Fluent in French (C2 level or native) and English (C1 level). German is a plus.
