About the Role

We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of People to lead our Human Resources and People function at Swap. This pivotal role involves managing and supporting our team across the globe, including our central hubs in London, New York, Amsterdam, and Israel. To cultivate a more positive company culture, we encourage you to work at our lovely brand-new, central London office on a hybrid basis. Scale-up experience is essential to be successful in this role.

About You

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field with experience in leading global benefits and wellbeing strategies.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of benefits policies, trends, laws, regulations, and system tools and technologies in the US and UK. Familiarity with multiple countries, specifically the UK and US, is a plus.
  • HRIS Technology: Strong familiarity with HRIS technology.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to see broad strategic HR issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong collaboration skills in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Relationship Building: Skilled at building cross-functional relationships with global partners.
  • Strategic & Technical Level Operation: Ability to operate at both strategic and technical levels.
  • Scaling Experience: Proven experience in scaling a company from Series A to B and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to align people strategies with Swap's business objectives, ensuring our HR initiatives support our growth goals.
  • Cultural Leadership: Shape and nurture the company culture, fostering an environment that reflects Swap's values and mission.
  • Employee Relations: Build strong employee relationships, addressing conflicts proactively and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives that promote employee engagement and satisfaction, ensuring a motivated and committed workforce.
  • Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for all team members.
  • Recruitment: Lead the recruitment process to attract, hire, and retain top talent, building a team that drives Swap’s success.
  • Professional Development: Create and manage programs for professional development, leadership training, and career progression, enhancing employee skills and growth.
  • Performance Management: Design and oversee performance review processes that align with Swap’s goals, providing constructive feedback and addressing performance issues effectively.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits plans that attract and retain high-performing employees.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion efforts, ensuring a workplace where all employees feel valued and can thrive.
  • Organizational Alignment: Align Swap's structure, culture, and workforce with our strategic objectives, ensuring cohesion and efficiency.

  • HR Policies: Develop, implement, and refine HR policies and procedures that meet Swap’s evolving needs and legal standards.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data and analytics to inform decisions on workforce management, planning, and optimization, driving strategic HR initiatives.
