Director M&A (all genders)

Our client is an independent and partner-led M&A investment bank and advises its clients (companies, shareholders and financial investors) on the implementation of strategic objectives in the field of Corporate Finance/M&A. With the exceptional expertise in M&A, growth equity and IPOs/equity capital markets, our client has the industry intuition and an unrivalled track record of finding the right option for their clients.

To strengthen their office in Berlin, our client is looking for a strong Director M&A.

• Supervision and execution of national and international M&A projects (Buy-Side and sell-side) in various industry sectors in direct cooperation with the partner
• Support and management of the corresponding processes throughout the entire transaction from preparation, contacting, due diligence, (contract) negotiations and signing.
• Leading project management teams, including oversight on due diligence and client/buyer interactions.
• Leading client meetings and pitches; and providing strategic advice and proposals.
• Making sure running projects are managed appropriately, with tasks delegated and reviewed where necessary.
• Build and maintain relationships with client senior executives and external counterparties (lawyers, PE firms etc.).
• Review all analyst and associate work for consistency, correctness and formatting, taking responsibility for client materials and reports.
• Take the lead on solving problems which arise in execution and origination.
• Actively participate in recruiting and act as lead "on the job" trainer for associates and analysts and help them achieve their career goals.

• Excellent educational background with a strong degree.
• Several years M&A experience from a boutique, investment bank or Big 4 M&A deal team.
• Outstanding academic track record.
• Exceptional analytical and financial skills.
• Ability to lead projects and be an effective part of an origination effort.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbally.
• Highly organised and reliable, self-starter, motivated and ambitious.
• Team player capable of fitting in with the culture.
• Self-starter and highly motivated to work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial team Strong managerial, team building and development skills.
• Fluency in German and English.
