About the role

We’re looking for an experienced product manager to join us in London to become the product lead for our user acquisition and growth team.

User acquisition and in-app advertising in the alternative appstore space comes with its own set of unique opportunities and challenges. The evolving ecosystems are commercially and technologically fragmented, and open to innovation and fresh ideas in ways not possible when operating within the confines of Google Play or the iOS Appstore.

Flexion is on its way to become the leading player in the UA space for open market distribution. We now want to find the product lead that can help us shape the product and turn our vision into reality.

The role reports to the company’s CPO but you’ll be working just as closely with Flexion’s commercial team and Chief Revenue Officer – creating, detailing and executing a feature strategy and roadmap to support the wider business objectives. This is a fast evolving and partially greenfield activity so you will have lots of freedom to make your own distinct mark on our product and the impact it has on performance.

Some concrete examples of what will likely keep you busy for the first stint of your employment with us include;

  • UA operations - configuring, testing, troubleshooting and documenting core "first of" set-ups for new ad-networks and/or MMPs
  • supporting the creation of appropriate ways of working - identifying, documenting and teaching best practices
  • selecting and overseeing the integration of suitable 3rd parties (e.g. MMPs)
  • facilitating effective campaign integration & optimisation
  • driving solutions to simplify campaign analysis and performance data visualisation
  • supporting the implementation of a next generation BI tool
  • supporting Flexion’s UA team as they set up, validate and execute campaigns

Moving beyond that that you'll naturally also be building out the overall product vision for your space and driving the creation of our mid to long term UA and in-app advertising roadmaps.

You’ll need to be able to identify and prioritise challenges, issues and impediments. You will be empowered to autonomously identify suitable solutions and strategies meeting objectives and overcoming challenges and taking ownership for their execution.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Product management and ownership of Flexion’s UA, in-game advertising and data insight and reporting features
  • Evolution of the overall product vision for the covered area – converting over-arching concepts and epics in to actionable stories and requirements.
  • Creation and maintenance of a prioritized product backlog driven by business value maximization, stakeholder needs, priorities and product strategy
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of user stories
  • Providing vision, priorities and direction to the scrum teams and stakeholders throughout development cycles
  • Support product release plans and setting of expectations with internal and external stakeholders in relation to delivery of new product features and products
  • Supporting internal and external stakeholders and customers and/or Flexion’s support teams with trouble shooting or resolving issues relating to features for which the role is responsible.
  • Supporting UA operations

Requirements

About you

  • Strong knowledge of - and hands on experience with - the mobile UA and in-app advertising product and tech stacks. If this experience comes from mobile games and/or the Android ecosystem this is doubly beneficial.
  • Sound working knowledge of the mobile UA and in-app advertising 3rd party provider landscape
  • Several years' experience within the mobile UA or advertising fields
  • Hands on experience with 3rd party Business Intelligence suites (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Microsoft power BI, Amazon QuickView)
  • Comprehensive understanding of technologies and best practices relating to data capture, storage, presentation and analysis
  • Several years’ agile product management/ownership experience
  • An innate ability to transform abstract concepts, user needs or visions into tangible requirements
  • Excellent epic and user story writing skills
  • Strong team player
  • Creative and analytical thinker
  • Self-starting and proactive
  • Strong verbal and written communicator
