Backend Engineer (Python/Rust)

ai|coustics is a Berlin-based startup pioneering Generative Audio AI technology. We're on a mission to redefine the way people experience speech quality and intelligibility in real-time communication and media content by providing solutions to our B2B clients across various verticals, including TVs, Soundbars, Headphones, Hearing Devices, Broadcasting, Streaming, and more.

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with a profound understanding of ML Ops in a SaaS environment. The successful candidate will be tasked with the development, maintenance, and optimisation of our ML-related cloud infrastructure and SaaS platform.

• Develop and maintain our backend services and APIs.
• Integrate machine learning models into the platform, focusing on improving operational efficiency and scalability.
• Implement necessary infrastructure for ML model training and deployment. Like data processing pipelines or model inference on GPUs.
• Collaborate closely with AI/ML scientists for model deployment, versioning, monitoring, and retraining processes.
• Maintain the security and data protection measures in our SaaS platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test, and production environments.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Backend Developer, AI/ML Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in managing SaaS platforms.
• Experience in implementing machine learning models into production.
• Familiarity with AI/ML lifecycle and MLOps principles.
• Proficiency in backend development languages (preferred Python, Rust) and frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (especially GCP), containerisation, and CI/CD pipelines.
