42 Wolfsburg is a recently launched, disruptive higher education NGO/start-up educating 600 students to become cutting-edge techies and software engineers in a practice-based peer-learning environment. 42 Wolfsburg is based on the internationally successful concept of Ecole 42 which was funded 2013 in Paris and today trains 15‘000 students in 42 schools. At 42 Wolfsburg we set out to educate the next generation of german software engineers to build the digital (mobility) infrastructure of our societies – this means meaningful work, excellent career opportunities and lots of responsibility.

As a FabLab Manager at 42 Wolfsburg, you will be part of a dynamic forward-thinking team. We aim to build a vibrant learning community for students as well as employees. We think and act like a startup but have the strategic support from industry partners and the successful brand, content and infrastructure of the global 42 network.

• Onboarding new Fablab members to machinery, processes and tools,
• Manage FabLab and its members (procurement roadmap, requests, instructions, defining machinery owners, bookings, safety etc.),
• Maintenance of machinery,
• Drive new projects that can represent 42 Wolfsburg at events, conferences and festivals,
• Build-up of a motivated community of students and locals.

• Technical experience in coding, machinery and making e.g. 3D printing (SLA / FDM), laser cutting, etc.,
• Communication (English is a must) and social skills to manage FabLab members,
• Organizational skills to manage supplies, bookings and events,
• Bonus: Special knowledge for your specific projects, e.g. Drones, AI/ML, Mechatronics, 3D Animations, Wearables, Automotive & Mobility.
